It also will be home to new games conceived by indie developers whose creativity is larger than their budgets.

In an industry that has had a great deal of parity in the past 15 years, Square Enix has typically thrown the majority of its support behind one console maker. First it was Nintendo, and since 1996 it has been Sony and their PlayStation systems.
Now, however, on the eve of what may be the most hotly contested console war in video gaming's brief history, Square might be changing its tune. Michihiro Sasaki, the Senior Vice President of Square Enix, offered some vague yet significant statements to the Wall Street Journal. Said Sasaki, "We don't want the PlayStation 3 to be the overwhelming loser, so we want to support them. But we don't want them to be the overwhelming winner either, so we can't support them too much."
Jack Carver has "wild" attacks now: he can jump at an enemy from a long distance and instantly kill him. His jump-ability and speed can be increased. There'll be lots of vehicles too in the levels like Quad-Bikes, Jet Skis, Pick-up Trucks and Hovercrafts and you control them with the Joystick while aiming with the Wiimote.
All close combat fights are fought with the Wiimote. For instance if you attack someone with the knife you have to make a slash movement with the Wiimote and to do a lethal attack with you hands you have to move the Wiimote sideways.

Lombardi: Well, as mentioned before, the 360 version is so close to the PC that's it's fairly simple. Essentially, we've wanted a system set up so that our own engine can be distributed cross-platform. As a company, Valve has been hesitant to branch out until we could get it right. We've got an engineering team that is one of the best in the world, so we wanted to make sure that it could work, no matter what. We're quite confident with the 360 version, and we're still working with the PS3. Understanding the new system has been the biggest challenge of all, since we're still learning a lot about the control and interface. It's really just a design challenge, but nothing impossible to overcome. The bigger challenge will be if we ever did a Wii version down the road.
