Gráfica AMD RDNA2 (RX 6000 series)

A 6800 de 16Gb quando esteve a 550€ foi o melhor negocio dos últimos tempos, a gráfica é muito competente e duvido que a próxima geração seja melhor bang for the buck que essa muito em breve.
 
Vou colocar aqui, dado que é uma review ao APU 7735u (zen3+ RDNA2) para ver a comparação da passagem do iGPU de Vega8 do 5800u para o RDNA2, infelizmente é um produto da ASRock Industrial, o que implica que não foi propriamente pensado para o "uso caseiro" como é o caso dos NUC da Intel usados para o comparativo, e o preço indicado é de 650$ para o barebone, ou seja sem disco e RAM.

Closing Thoughts​


The ASRock Industrial 4X4 BOX-7735U/D5 provided us with the opportunity to evaluate a high-end AMD-based UCFF PC with premium features. The Rembrandt-R platform exceeded our expectations with top-notch iGPU performance and USB4 40 Gbps support. ASRock Industrial has managed to bring the 4X4 BOX-7735U/D5 to the market relatively quickly after AMD's introduction of the SoCs.

While the BIOS toggle to set the CPU operation mode to either 'Normal' or 'Performance' is appreciated, we believe ASRock Industrial has taken a shortcut here. In the performance mode, the fan is set to run at 100% duty cycle - even when the system is at idle. The company could have delivered support for similar TDP values with a better noise profile by allowing for fine-grained fan speed control based on SoC temperature. ASRock's BIOS for their consumer motherboards (and even the DeskMini series) has such support - so it is not entirely unreasonable of us to expect ASRock Industrial to deliver a similar feature.

While we have seen significant improvement on the iGPU performance side, the drivers could probably behave a bit better for certain multimedia workloads. Still, it is a major improvement over the previous generations / driver versions when the application would end up crashing.

In our evaluation, the Arena Canyon NUC comes out on top in a majority of the CPU-centric workloads (including the multi-threaded ones that used to be AMD's forte in the past few years). However, the GPU-centric workloads have ended up with a swing in the opposite direction and AMD has again regained the spot it once occupied in the pre-Zen days.

Eu diria que um jogo que precisa de 12gb de vram, para apresentar gráficos ultrapassados e muito, não é grande exemplo.
Agora não faz sentido pagar umas centenas valentes de euros por um GPU e ficar só com 8gb .
Por aí a AMD está bem posicionada.
 
Verdade. Uma das melhores placas gráficas que já tive. Consegui-a no dia de lançamento ao MSRP, numa altura que jà estavamos a entrar na loucura do mining e aguentou-me tudo a 1440p na perfeição durante a pandemia, incluindo cyberpunk maxed out a cerca de 80 fps (sem RT claro). Problemas com drivers só aconteceu uma vez, que instalei uma versão beta manhosa, mas assim que usei o DDU para fazer uma instalação limpa dos drivers anteriores a essa beta, nunca mais tive problemas. Se alguém está a hesitar comprar, se o preço for bom é puxar o gatilho :D
 
Eu que tenho uma 6800 confirmo, aguenta tudo o que seja 1440p sem problemas nenhuns. Aqui nunca tive problemas de drivers, impecaveis!
so a estou a vender porque quero dar o salto para 4k.
