There has been more and more validation to the Kingdom Hearts Wii rumors that have been spreading through the web. The rumors which initially started from a well known Wall Street Journal article with Disney and Square Enix, where both companies openly stated that “they would like to see the franchise available on all three consoles.”
Square Enix senior VP Michihiro Sasaki told the Wall Street Journal, "We don't want the PlayStation 3 to be the overwhelming loser, so we want to support them. But we don't want them to be the overwhelming winner either, so we can't support them too much."
Since then, rumors on the topic have been relatively quiet until recently when
http://www.khinsider.com/ reported that “
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix is indeed being ported over to the US.” The site also
claims that Disney/Square is casting English speaking voice talent for a new Kingdom Hearts game, Chain Of Memories. Finally, the site even goes as far as claiming that they have all of their information confirmed by “four” industry insiders.
As most people already know both,
CoM and Final Mix were Japanese exclusive games that left the American fan base feeling very left out and disappointed. If
these games do come out to the Wii and DS respectively, this should be seen as a sign that Disney and Square is indeed testing the market and is really considering multiplatforming the franchise.
