PS3 Vendas e Estatísticas (Hardware/Software)

Vocês quando estão a comprar uma consola estão invistir numa coisa que vos proporcione momentos de entertenimento ou estão a comprar acções da empresa em questão?

Se a vossa Consola começasse a vender pouco ,deixava de ter qualidade?

Eu tenho ps3 e 360 ambas são óptimas consolas,se vendem pouco a relação a wii pouco me interessa, a partir do momento que quero adquirir uma consola , vou consultar as vendas de cada uma?Não vou ver as funcionalidades de cada e os seus exclusivos pois é isso em que 360 e a ps3 diferem.....
 
Vamos lá ver se ultrapassa, é algo imprevisivel tendo em conta que ambas as consolas vão ter titulos a sairem durante esses anos, titulos que podem ou não influenciar as vendas das consolas.
A Nintendo financeiramente já ganhou, isso nem se põe em questão, esperemos que as outras duas concorrentes também se safem, pois como se sabe a concorrência é boa para a industria.
Vamos lá ver como estão em 2011, embora por volta de esse ano as novas gerações já devam estar a sair não sei, não estou muito informado no assunto.

PS3 hardware sales rise 30% following price cut

The recently announced PS3 price cut to $299 has an immediate effect on hardware sales but most consumers are waiting for the "PS3 Slim" on September 1st
Sony finally announced the 120GB "PS3 Slim" last week at GamesCom for $299, but also announced an immediate price drop for the current 80GB PS3 model to the same price point. As expected, sales have increased this week but it is clear that many consumers are waiting for the new model before making the jump.
We have compiled our latest Americas hardware data for the week ending 22nd August and in the three days following the price cut, daily PS3 hardware saw around a 30% increase. Overall, sales are up a a modest 12% week on week (and sales have been down significantly the last few weeks) - so maybe not as large a boost as many had expected. The reasons for this are twofold:
  1. Consumers are waiting for the new model PS3 which launches on September 1st
  2. Stocks of the existing model are starting to become quite low in the US - indeed the entire reason for the price cut is to get rid of the last of the stock to make way for the new model.
In those same three days, preorders for the slimline PS3 were actually greater than sales for the current PS3, with each day larger than the previous. If this pattern continues, preorders could top 60,000 in America alone by this time next week - suggesting a week one of around 100,000. The same week, Microsoft lowers the Elite price to $299 to match the slimline PS3. Recent Xbox360 sales in the Americas have been around 60,000 so we expect PS3 to be ahead of 360 for a couple of weeks but it will be interesting to see where both consoles settle.
Similar increases have been seen across Europe, Japan and Other regions, but far bigger increases are expected in September when the new model arrives. We estimate that September sales worldwide will be around double that of August - around 600,000 units. This will be the first time in 2009 that Sony posts a year on year increase.

O boost virá quando saír a slim e pelo menos um mês durará. Após isso então poderse-á avaliar. Diria que se, após um mês, mantiverem algo na onde dos 50-75% mais do que nas últimas semanas/meses, poder-se-á considerar um sucesso.
 
Isto [baixa de preço geral, nova slim] mais GT5 perto do natal e GoW III anunciado para breve.. Até final do ano o boost de vendas da ps3 deve-se manter..

Se a Sony vender um Bundle da Slim+GT5, acho que as vendas vão aumentar exponencialmente!!

Já tenho aqui dois colegas no trabalho que dizem que compram se saír esse bundle.
Já lhes disse que provavelmente vai saír mas que não deve ser por €299 mas sim uns €340. Inventei um bocado mas pronto. Torceram logo o nariz. €299 parece mesmo ser o número mágico pelo qual as pessoas estavam à espera.
 
PS3 drops to dead last in Japan's hardware sales charts
Handhelds are dominating the hardware sales charts in Japan right now, but the story over there is still the PS3 -- specifically the fact that it has dropped to dead last in the Media Create sales rankings.


The PS3 moved only 2,052 units for the week ended August 23. That's more than a thousand units less than the older PS2. It's quite possible that the lull in sales is because people are waiting for the PS3 Slim to drop. It would be interesting to see the number for that week. Also, contrary to the new pricing scheme for older PS3s in other countries, Sony Japan has chosen to not give the bulkier models a price drop.


At the top of the charts is the DSi. Yep, it's still going strong, selling more than half of the second placer PSP. Rounding out the top four are the Wii and Xbox 360 in third and fourth place, respectively. Here are the charts:
