sim ainda tenho a 8800GTS mas vou vende-la .

a 6200 é para começar a usar daki a 1 semana , mas como encontrei-as a um bom preço ontem , aproveitei e comprei logo 4 , fikei com 1 para mim como placa de desenraskes quando precisar ( como vai acontecer agora durante 2/3semanas ) e comprei mais 3 para vender pk ao preço a que estavam ainda da para ganhar uns €uritos na venda das outras 3 :D

Geforce 8800 Ultra confirmed


 Nvidia driver has it A new driver confirmed new G80 chips from Nvidia. Forceware 158.16 has at least four new G80 chips we haven't seen before. The first one is G80-400, then there is a G80-200 chip and finally G80-600 is listed and the mystical one Geforce 8800 Ultra.
Most important one is the new card ID // 0194 is called NVIDIA Geforce 8800 Ultra. This new driver should really boost the performance of all G8X parts but we will let you know how fast it goes. The new driver might bring a big performance increase as well, but stay tuned for the test.
Here are the new cards.

yes, it supports the 8800 Ultra.

if you use one of my old driver modding guides, you can force this driver, to be used with your 8800 GTX and test the optimizations of the 8800 Ultra Driver.

same thing even for Nvidia drivers.
just manually direct the installation to the driver and ignore all "not compatible" errors and messages.
after reboot, all should be fine.
if its not, reboot in safe mode, and uninstall the driver.

like always... driver modding is done at your risk.
no one made you do it, so dont cry about it, if something goes wrong.

Forceware 158.16 tested


Preview: The new control panel


We got our hands on super new 158.16 drivers and we can confirm that there are some new features, but the performance is not that great. The driver is non WHQL beta and it is not stable at all time but it works. It will increase the performance in 3Dmark03 for about twelve percent and you can see the big jump in all game tests and multi texturing.



In 3Dmark05 you will gain some 500 more points and you can clearly see that the driver does the multi texturing much faster. It is even 200 points faster in 3Dmark06 and you score some more in all tests, but nothing to be thrilled about. In OpenGL you lose a frame or two with or without FSAA and Aniso. In Fear you gain a frame or two here or there or you lose a bit and in Company or Heroes you win at 10x7 but lose in all other resolutions.



As you can see the driver has better control panel and finally you can easily find your way around.

Forceware 158.16, now 30 percent faster

Part two: In synthetic benchmarks

We already told you that the new 158.16 drive is about two percent or less faster or slower in games and benchmarks but we figurate out that it is also a 30 percent faster in syntactic benchmarks.

We had a chance to test Geforce 8800 GTX at its default 575 MHz and old 97.92 drives. We used Nvidia's beloved GPU DIP test.

In Cell sharing the 97.92 does the job for 682,3311 msec and scores 403,3983 GFlop/sec. The same card clocked at 575 MHz core and 158.16 drives now does the job in 584,9589 msec and scores 470,5480 GFlop/sec.

The third scenario included an overclocked G80 card that works at 700 MHz what can easily be the clock speed of G80 Ultra and the job was finished for 496,1952 msec and the card scored 554,7236 GFlop/sec.

So there is a hope for Geforce 8800 Ultra and GTX after all
