pesquisando e tendo alguns conhecimentos de redes e por tentativas, consegui chegar as configurações do Router Asus WL-600G para a Vodafone Duplex ADSL.
vamos ao que interessa...
COMO CONFIGURAR:
(O meu firmware 1.0.2.8.A da asus) também funciona com o 1.0.3.3A e com o 3.0.0.8.A
Para funcionar temos de ir a este link do router: (este link não funciona no firmware 3.0.0.8.A, mas também não é necessário)

temos de mudar as definiçoes de DSL:
Select the modulation below:
Seleccionar somente o G.Dmt Enabled e AnnexM DISABLED
(A modulação G.DMT so "aguenta" até aos 8Mb+/-)
(se tiverem mesmo perto da central tentem colocar a modulação ADSL2+ e AnnexM DISABLE)
Select the phone line pair below.
SeleccionarInner pair
Capability
Seleccionar só Bitswap Enable
agora Botão "Save/Apply"
Acedemos ao router http://192.168.1.1
"Advanced Setup -> WAN -> "
VPI: [0]
VCI: [35]
Service Category: UBR Without PCR
Botão "NEXT
Seleccionamos o seguinte tipo de conexão: MAC Encapsulation Routing (MER)
Encapsulation Mode
LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING
Botão "NEXT"
WAN IP Settings Fica tudo AUTOMÁTICO
Botão "NEXT"
Seleccionar: Enable NAT
Enable IGMP Multicast, and WAN Service
Seleccionar: Enable WAN Service
Service Name: Vodafone
(O Service Name podem dar o nome que quiserem)
Botão "NEXT"
VPI / VCI:0 / 35
Connection Type:MER
Service Name:Vodafone
Service Category:UBR
IP Address:Automatically Assigned
Service State: Enabled
NAT: Enabled
Firewall: Disabled
IGMP Multicast: Disabled
Botão "Save"
Botão "SAVE/REBOOT"
e voilá está configurado... hehe
PS: com outras tentativas o meu router bloqueou, mas como estava na garantia deram-me logo outro... xD por isso cuidado com invenções sem garantia...
