Saints Row 4 launches on 20th August 2013 in the US and 23rd August 2013 everywhere else, a just-published trailer reveals.

Saints Row 4 is planned for release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and is made by series developer Volition.
It's published by Deep Silver, which bought the Saints Row intellectual property and Volition after previous owner THQ went bust.

Saints Row IV™ - From the Crack House to the White House
The ball-busting next chapter in the Saints Row franchise, is starting a party in your pants this August.
Developed by Volition, Saints Row IV will launch on current-gen consoles and PC on August 20, 2013, in North America and August 23, 2013, in the rest of the world.

o que ja este ano e em agoto? sinceramente, deviam fazer só po ano. alguem sabe se a produtora que comprou os direitos do jogo, contratou a mesma equipa que fez o 3 ?

Isto vai sair mais cedo por duas razoes:

-o motor já está feito. De certeza que não vamos ver um motor diferente do SR3.

-isto é baseado numa expansão que a Voltition estava a fazer para o SR3. Depois decidiram meter-la no SR4 antes da THQ ir ao ar. Ao que parece agora Deep Silver decidiu transformar isto num jogo inteiro.

Não, a deep Silver não decidiu nada, apenas entrou com o resto do dinheiro e comprou direitos.

Na altura em que o DLC era para ter saido a THQ decidiu que tinham base para um jogo novo e entao começaram o desenvolvimento do SR4.
Quando a THQ caiu já o jogo estava a ser desenvolvido á algum tempo.
 
eu nao sei se estou a pensar bem, mas acho que deviam esperar mais um bocado até o pó acalmar, porque agora é outra produtora, nao sei posso estar a pensar mal, mas podiam esperar mais um bocado.

secalhar é por isso que o SR foi dos 1º a ser comprada, como ja tava quase a ser comcluido o jogo, quem comprava os direitos era um pouco de dinheiro facil, digo eu, posso estar a falar mal.
 
não tem que haver confusões algumas, o jogo está a ser feito pelas mesmas pessoas desde o ínicio @ estúdio Volution.

a THQ era apenas a editora (embora também fosse proprietária do estúdio) a única coisa que alterou nisto tudo foi a Deep Silver passar a ser editora devido há falência da THQ.

o timing de lançarem em fins de agosto parece o mais acertado por 3 motivos:

- GTA V sai em setembro
- ninguém quer lançar jogos nesta época de natal por causa das novas consolas e o jogo não foi feito para elas
- Saints Row 3 saiu em novembro 2011 que fará quase 2 anos na altura do lançamento


se não for em Agosto teria de ser adiado para 2014 o que é algo não muito agradável para a Deep Silver porque quer retirar dividendos do investimento na aquisição da Volution\Franchise.
 
Vai ser alto jogo e não espero mais nada do que isso. A reizice do 3 e agora este como presidente do USA e com Super Heróis, que best!
 
ahahaha gostei! apesar de nao ter jogado os outros dois (o tempo nao da pra tudo), vi bastante gameplay e cheguei a jogar demo e adorei. Este parece-me estar à altura, aquela Dubstep gun... xDD
 
Saint’s Row 4 DLC: ‘Enter the Dominatrix’ due after launch

Saint’s Row 4 developer Volition Inc has confirmed that the game’s first DLC pack ‘Enter the Dominatrix’ will launch within 45 days of the game’s August release. It takes the form of a mockumentary starring the game’s cast.

Enter the Dominatrix was originally coined as a DLC pack for Saint’s Row The Third, but the concept of players fighting aliens in a virtual world was expanded into Saint’s Row 4.
