A menos que os yields das HD 2900 XT sejam altissimos, a 2900 Pro vai ser as versões que nao passaram nos testes de qualidade para a HD 2900 XT, caso contrario pode ser um novo chip.

FudATI has already announced a R600PRO based card clocked at 600 MHz for its FireGL range, but as far as we know the HD 2900 PRO card will end up with 160 Shaders and half of the ROPs.
The Radeon HD 2900PRO will end up with 160 Stream processors, 8 ROPs, 16 TMUs and a 256 Bit memory interface.
The Texture Memory Units are the week spot of the R600 design and ATI didn’t reduced its number which will sure come in handy.
The rest of the 160 Stream processors are simply disabled as well as additional 8 ROPs.
R600PRO is FGL V7600
ATI caught us surprised announcing the FireGL V7600 based on R600PRO that we mentioned today. The card works at 600 MHz and supports Shader model 4.0.
It turns out that this card has the whole 320 Shader units and as we suggested 256 bit memory interface. It uses DDR4 with total bandwidth of 51.20 GB/s.
This is just one of the cards but there will be at least one more iteration of R600PRO with a bit less Shaders and ROPs but it will probably be launched as Radeon rather than FireGL.

AMD preps Radeon HD 2900 Pro and GT for fall
With Nvidia keeping quiet about its upcoming G92 chip we are left with AMD to get the adrenaline pumping with its extensively-rumored R600-based cards. The 'see no deadline' conglomerate company (AMD) seems to prepare not one but two new cards powered by more or less modified R600 cores, one being the already old Radon HD 2900 Pro and one the 2900 GT...........

ATI HD 2950Pro (RV670) Cards - Specs Revealed
The good people over at VR-Zone have learned some valuable information about AMD/ATI's new mainstream video cards. According to them, the upcoming RV670 GPU is projected to run as fast as the current R600, but with lower GPU temps and TDP. AMD calls RV670 a Gaming Applications Processor which bridges 3D HD gap. RV670 is 55nm based, has 320 stream processors and a 256-bit memory interface. There will be 2 versions of RV670: Gladiator and Revival. Gladiator is clocked at 825MHz core and 1.2GHz memory while Revival is clocked at 750MHz core and 900MHz memory. Gladiator has 512MB of GDDR4 memory and Revival comes with either 256MB or 512MB of GDDR3 memory. These cards will be single slot and fully DX10.1/SM4.1 compliant. Both video cards will support PCI Express 2.0, UVD as well as the next generation Crossfire technology. RV670 is scheduled for sampling in September, with expected mass production in December 2007 or early 2008. RV670 will be officially known as Radeon HD 2950 Pro when launch and will probably priced between $199 to $249. ATI Radeon HD 2950 Pro will officially replace the Radeon X1950 Pro when released.
