GTX 512 megas: no mercado antes da X1800XT ?

btw, axo que nao é isso que ta em questao mas ta bem...
Pq quando as houver efectivamente na europa, tb as irá haver em PT tal como as 7800gtx 256mb e aplica-se o mesmo para a 7800gtx 512mb.

Ja chega de xover no molhado :D (ou entao vamos começar a apontar numa lista quantas é que foram vendidas, por que loja e a que horas :D)
 
Hoje lá na Aqua tive a montar uma máquina com duas em SLI...

Assim com o sistema em Default, com um 4800+, fazia 33k marks no 2003 e 13k marks no 2005, senão me engano.

O cliente ja tinha o disco da máquina cheio de cenas, portanto, creio que com umas boas optimizações daria muito mais. :)

ONE OF the highlights in ATI's FUD presentation was limited availability of the 7800GTX 512MB, which was according to some sources, supposed to have only a single shipment of 4000 pieces. If those rumours were true, the 7800GTX 512MB would join the high ranks of 6800 Ultra Extreme, FX5800 Ultra, FX5200 Ultra and several more products that ATI's FUD presentation kicked and screamed about.
However, this is far from the truth, since several AIBs have only now begun to introduce the 7800 GTX 512MB models, and availability is kept at one shipment weekly, around 4000 boards for the whole world. This isn't much, but there are reasons why the supply is so "limited".

Nvidia's problem right now is that demand exceeds supply by a mile. In case you didn't know, the main problem is getting enough 144-pin 1.1ns Samsung GDDR-3 memory chips - those chips aren't exactly in mass production, and the chips had the status of only "sampling" not a long time ago. Samsung massively produces 1.2ns and 1.26ns GDDR3 memory chips, as tens of thousands of 7800GTX and X1800XL/XT can witness, but 1.1ns is in rather short supply, consumed entirely by nVIDIA's 7800GTX 512MB baby.

If you're willing to spend $700 dollars or €uro on a single graphics card rather than a trip to some nice and cosy location - it's minus 4C in Croatia and it's snowing hard - or an Xbox 360 Zero Hour premium kit on eBay - there will be enough boards for Yuletide, but you have to count there will be only around 12-15,000 boards coming for the Yuletide rush.

Samsung, Microsoft? The mystery ravels

NVIDIA IS having problems worldwide supplying product for the Geforce 7800 GTX/512MB SLI, sources said.

It's not just the sources that are saying this. Ping over to Tiger Direct here and you'll see this product is listed as no longer available for sale.

There is a problem and Nvidia partners are livid, the word is on the street. We understand that Samsung is livid as well, because Nvidia sources the memory from the Korean giant and puts the lack of product down to that firm.

But perhaps Nvidia is livid too - we understand that the Xbox 360 sources similar product to its card. The Nvidia memory is carefully chosen from special bins at the Samsung fabs.

Either way, it's a heck of a time not to be able to supply the product. Nvidia UK was not available for comment at press time - they're all probably at the UK Dennis Publishing PC Pro awards. µ

7800 GTX 512 flies to $749 and is still unavailable

Newegg has X1800XT for $539, available
VERY LIMITED Geforce 7800 GTX 512 cards are getting new sky high prices. Nvidia's suggested retail price was a sky hign $649 and now, if you can get them, easy mayor etailer such as American Newegg decided to earn some money on these cards. It's listing the cards at $749 and even at this price they are still not available.

If you want one you will have to try to get it on Ebay but even that wont be easy. You can check the price of Nvidia 7800 GTX 512 cards here.

ATI on the other hand is little bit cheaper than its suggested retail price. You can get ATI's OEM card for $539 some $10 cheaper than suggested retail price. Well if you want the real retail price you will have to reach deeper in your pocket and spend $599. You can check ATI's prices here Both are expensive I may suggest but are at the top of the performance hill. µ

Basicamente ta a acontecer aquilo que eu ja tinha dito. Meia duzias de placas ao inicio e depois simplesmente desapareceram. Enquanto isso as X1800XT 512mb apareceram por todo o lado e agora com uma diferença de preço para a 7800 512mb de 42 contos.....
Axo que poucos perceberam o que a Nvidia queria dizer com uma "ediçao limitada"....

Só pessoas que eu conheço, eu, gandalf, pedro rocha, vortan, orlando, silence, um amigo meu com 2, um cliente la da loja com 2, foram mais 4 que foram vendidas la na loja, e fora todas as outras que foram vendidas na *****, drimmachine, etc...

Acho que foram bastantes, para um país em crise! :)

Que eu saiba em PT somos 10 milhoes. Axo que te esqueceste de muita gente nessa tua "lista"....
Eu costumava ir á ***** da Guarda e homem dizia que havia bastante gente a ir buscar as X800XT e 6800 que custavam mais de 100 contos na altura e eram pessoas que simplesmente compravam o melhor que havia. E na Guarda.....

A verdade é que existiram meia duzia ao 1º dia e depois acabaram, tal como a Nvidia tinha dito: "Ediçao limitada".
Eu nao tou a bater na Nvidia, pq ja ela tinha avisado, mas para imensos user deste forum a 7800 512mb encontra-se ás pazadas e X1800XT 512mb nem ve-las..... (ou entao nao querem ver :007: )
