Fonte: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3155672Savvy internet users may have caught the first footage of EA's just-revealed SSX Blur floating around viral video sites over the weekend, but since the quality of that video was pretty low, it was difficult to figure out much about the game.
So today we're happy to bring you the full high-resolution version of that video, showing off the game's visuals, the motion blur effects, and what you can expect from EA's return to the SSX series.
The video doesn't reveal much about the gameplay, showing a star meter on the right side of the screen that fills up as you perform tricks, a points counter, and a hint at the A button coming into play right at the end. Only one character is shown in the video, but he seems to be younger and have a bigger head than the typical stars found in SSX games -- could the developers be moving towards more stylized, kid friendly characters ala those in EA's Wii version of The Sims?
We don't have any real screenshots yet, so we took a few screen captures from the trailer to show the game off. We recommend checking out the trailer, however, as it does a better job showcasing the motion blur and gameplay.
According to an EA press release, "SSX Blur is everything you expect from the franchise, delivered in a totally unexpected way," and it goes on to note that players will be able to use Wii-specific features both on the ground and in the air "by translating every motion you make into the skills that create mountain legends."
In the video, there also seem to be multiple paths you can take to get down the mountain, but we don't know if that means this will be a return to the one giant mountain gameplay of SSX3 or just courses that feature more than one way to travel.
SSX Blur -- which is exclusive to Wii -- is under development at EA Montreal, and is set to ship to stores in March 2007. For the first in-depth hands-on look at the game explaining how it uses the Wii controls (and the first real screenshots), check out the January issue of EGM in stores soon.

For the second in our occasional series about alternate input devices for videogames, we present you with an exclusive look at the control schemes for SSX Blur, the latest entry in Electronic Arts' acclaimed snowboarding franchise. "SSX is a lighthearted, colorful, over the top game," producer Alex Hyde told Level Up in an email. "The motion-sensing features of the Wii controllers seemed a natural fit to the sports of skiing and snowboarding, and at the same time allowed us to add a level of depth to the game that isn't possible on a traditional gamepad using a complex combinations of buttons. Also, the fact that the control scheme is more physical causes the player to be much more engaging and immersive experience, which is a real plus." We plan to get our hands on it within the next few weeks; for now, enjoy our exclusive screens, pictured below.
