Just wanted to give an update on my experience with the XFPS Sniper.

I have had it since Friday, and I am still having an absolute blast. My stats have gone through the roof, and I have been able to improve my kill to death ratio from way under 1:1 to 1.33 : 1. Last night I played 9 games and took first in all but 2. In contrast, previously I was lucky if I got 3rd because I sucked so much with the sticks.

Here are some things I have found though that may make tuning your Sniper easier.

HALO3
- Halo 3 does NOT like it when you crank up your sensitivity with the Sniper. The game by nature has a pretty slow turning speed, which sucks, and anytime you try to turn faster then what the software thinks you should be doing, strange things happen. The best indicator of this is what I would call cursor drift. If you have your setting too high, then when you move the cursor a small amount, the cursor will appear to re-center after you stop moving. When I say Cursor, I am referring to the cross hairs btw.

- To tune this I simply went in Campaign mode, and set the sensitivity to the lowest, which in effect turns it off. I turned both axis' to 0 so I only had to work on one at a time. Starting with X, I slowly turned it up until I got maximum turning speed without any jitter or cursor drift. I also checked that slow movements were precise and accurate. I then repeated this procedure with the Y axis. Once you are done you should have a very stable output and your Up and Down movement should be close to matching your left to right. Now go kill those thumbstick noobs!

I should also note that I am playing with the Microsoft Haibu, and have found that the best setting on that mouse is to max out the DPI. This is not true for the G5 though, that XFPS prefers that one to be set in the middle for its dpi setting.

COD4
- First thing is COD4 is WAY more responsive then HALO3 is. Here I just quickly used the same procedure as above to get rid of the drift but then I utilize the DPI setting to 2 instead of 3 (this is a mouse feature) because of how responsive COD4 is. You can really turn quickly in this game.

FEAR
- Same as COD4

One more thing:
This setup isnt going to help you much if you just suck. The thing that has really impressed me is how good some of these players are with those thumbsticks. This really comes apparent in HALO3 once you start getting up to level 10 in skill rating.

Então pela vossa maneira de ver a coisa, quem joga PES 2008 num pc com pad também está a fazer batota... Não podem ser assim pessoal, cada um joga com o periférico q lhe der mais jeito, senão não havia volantes, joysticks, light guns, etc...

Segundo a página da Sony existem uns Wireless, mas nunca vi à venda.

Agora vir criticar os outros por os usarem... Cada um faz o que quer com o dinheiro que tem.
