It's no secret that the point at which a printer tells you your $40 ink cartridge is empty (and prompty stops letting you print anything) has little relation to when it's actually empty, especially if you've refilled it yourself, and in the spirit of letting you get the most out of the fortune you're spending on ink, here's some tips for Epson and HP owners: SSC Service Utility (http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml) is a free Windows app for Epson printers that lets you freeze or reset your printer's internal ink counters to fool your printer into thinking the cartridge is full again. For HP owners things aren't so simple. Methods vary by printer and cartridge type and many of them require rolling up your sleeves and fiddling with the cartridge itself, but Mr. Ink Jet (an ink refill kit vendor) has some tips (http://www.misterinkjet.com/hpreset.htm).

Parece-me muito bom e solução para o povo que sofre com tinteiros da epson que acabam, mas ainda tem 2/3 da tinta:004: :wow:

Já o uso à um tempinho, mas não é bem assim, o freeze não "congela" o nivel de tinta... Esta só se "gasta" mais lentamente... E quando acaba a tinta (o cartucho memoriza 0% tinta) depois de colocar o novo deve-se informar o programa que existe um cartucho novo e não fazer restore values... é que já tive de deitar um cartucho acabadinho de comprar por causa disso...

No final de contas, já paguei cerca de 5 impressoras só em tinta (mesmo poupando com o programa) e pelo que já vi, mais valia ter apostado em HP (gasta muitissimo menos tinta...)...
