As it is now, MxO isn't too different from other MMORPGs, and in fact, it's much less immediately exciting and accessible than many of the more recent ones. It's still in its infancy, and it shows: plenty of niggling bugs are yet to be worked out, and the game's technical performance isn't quite satisfactory, even on machines that well exceed its recommended requirements. But if you're both a dedicated fan of The Matrix, and an experienced MMO player, then you'll definitely enjoy what it has to offer. Likewise, if you're an MMO veteran whose needs aren't being met by the other games out there, then MxO might be novel enough for you to want to try. If the live events prove to be a runaway success, then these qualifications may be rendered moot. But at this point, MxO is far from the only game in town.
