View Full Version : Freeze de portátil ACER em Ubuntu

Tenho instalado o Ubuntu 7.10 num portátil Acer 5601AWLMI.
Algumas vezes, sem razão aparente, o sistema congela. Algumas vezes recupera, outras não.
Em Windows também acontece este tipo de freezes (pára tudo durante 5 a 10 segundos) mas o sistema recupera sempre.

Tenho as seguintes mensagens nos logs que penso estarem relacionadas com o problema.
Alguma dica?

Não podes testar com outro disco?

Talvez. Depois de alguma pesquisa vi que é um problema que acontece a mais gente. Acontece muito em portáteis Acer (vários modelos) mas também noutras marcas, e com discos distintos. Não descobri foi uma solução clara. Apenas sugestões.

Para já, matar o processo hald-addon-storage parece ter resolvido o problema.
Vou fazer mais testes durante algum tempo e esperar que seja mesmo isso.

Não descobri foi uma solução clara. Apenas sugestões.
Eu também não tenho nenhuma solução, apenas sugestões.

A mim também me cheira a problemas no disco/controlador.
Ou investigas mais (actualiza a BIOS, experimenta com outro Kernel, experimenta um LiveCD, etc) ou, se está na garantia, manda-o de volta.
