View Full Version : O meu cliente submete WU incompletas?
Boas.
Vou tentar explicar o meu problema da forma mais clara possível.
Eu antes costumava usar o cliente gráfico de folding. Com este foldei duas WU somando um total de 786 pontos.
Depois, formatei o PC. Como tinha ouvido dizer que o cliente de texto é mais rápido, consome menos recursos, etc decidi instalá-lo em vez do gráfico.
Segui o tutorial, instalei-o, preenchi o ficheiro de config, instalei o hide-it, pus tudo no arranque.
Pus pela primeira vez este cliente a foldar uma WU que estava a +/- 70% ainda do cliente gráfico (backup). Tudo bem, ficou a foldar, evoluiu um bocado. Desliguei o PC. No outro dia de manhã, ligo-o e corro o FAH-mon. Qual não é o meu espanto quando vejo que tenho o cliente a 0% com uma WU acabada de descarregar. Vou ver às minhas stats e vejo que já não tinha 2 WU foldadas mas sim 3, no entanto, o meu score não tinha aumentado.
O PC ficou ligado todo o dia. Desliguei-o outra vez à noite. Quando vou ver, nova WU a 0%, stats: 4 WU - A mesma pontuação (786) :confused::confused:.
O que é que se passa?! Ele está a enviar WU incompletas? Eu, para ser sincero, não me estou a dar lá muito bem com este cliente consola.

Estás a ter aí sempre um FILE_IO_ERROR (http://portugalfolding.org/wiki/index.php?title=Erros_e_solu%C3%A7%C3%B5es#FILE_IO _ERROR). Vê o link a ver se te ajuda (em Inglês (http://fahwiki.net/index.php/Common_Error_Messages#FILE_IO_ERROR), é capaz de estar mais actualizado).

FILE_IO_ERROR has also been reported to occur if two Console clients working on the same unit are started. This can occur if you accidentally start one client twice on a dually, instead of two clients once.
Boas. Pode ser isto a fonte do meu problema?... É que eu tenho um processador SINGLE-CORE mas esse ÚNICO núcleo está dividido em duas Threads (tecnologia HT da Intel). O Windows reconhece com um processador de núcleo único...
Pelo que eu entendi tenho que, das duas uma, ou no Setup da BIOS desactivar a tecnologia HT ou instalar um dois clientes não é?
Eu também tenho HT (sempre o tive activo) e quando usava um só cliente não havia problema (e usei assim até há bem pouco tempo). Agora por acaso uso dois, mas tem uma configuração especial, por isso não fazem conflito.
Podes ter só um cliente, e ter o HT activo. Assim vais ter sempre um núcleo virtual livre.
Mas vê se não tens dois clientes activos (ter por exemplo dois FahCore_XX.exe nos processos do task manager). É que se não estiverem configurados para estarem os dois, pode bem dar esse FILE_IO_ERROR.
Mas verifica já agora também as outras causas.

Mas se eu só tenho um cliente instalado no core "1" (cfg do cliente) não estou a usar toda a capacidade do meu processador?
EDIT :: problemas de hardware com os buses SATA ou sectores danificados tb me parece altamente improvável.
EDIT2 :: Isto pode por acaso ser causado por voltar a chamar o atalho do cliente depois de ele estar a correr?

Sobre estares a indicar no cgf do cliente, se falas do machine_id, não tem a ver com o core :p
Sobre estares a correr um, se só tens uma instalação, então ao iniciares uma pelo mesmo executável ele nem iniciava. Pelo que ir pela de teres instalado como serviço e estares a iniciar por outro lado não é plausível...
Ok... então... continuamos sem saber bem.

EDIT 2 :: Proveniência (penso de que) identificada: sabes aquela opção que diz, no ficheiro de configuração do cliente, "load on startup" (or something like that) -> eu activei-a, e depois, feito parvo, adicionei a consola aos programas de arranque no Windows. Resultado: sim, estou a executar duas consolas iguais!
