Sun are now officially supporting the Mac port of OpenOffice.org by providing 2 paid software engineers, with many years experience of OpenOffice development, to work full time on the Mac port. This is a great boost to the Mac port as we should now be able to produce the Aqua version even faster.

The Mac porting community are delighted to be working with full time Sun engineers on porting OpenOffice.org over to the Mac.

E feito a partir do codigo do openoffice corre de forma nativa mas sobre java.

Até certo ponto é capaz de o NeoOffice perder a razão de existir ou haver um merge das equipas de desenvolvimento.
Para mim são boas noticias.

Pelo que parece, a Sun Microsystems não gostou da recusa dos developers do NeoOffice em trabalharem juntos, e agora querem abrir "guerra".

Ora bem, para nós a concorrência só trás benefícios... Por isso, força nisso Sun.

Já estava na hora da Sun olhar para os MAC's. Como disse alguém num blog: "Será que é por se ver cada vez mais pessoal da Sun com MAC's?" (algo do género). Vai na volta....
