Interested in a RamDisk but don’t have a spare PCI slot, you could grab one of these new 5.25” Ramdisk-Boxes instead. It features the same four DIMM slots, SATA port and backup battery as the PCI version, but is now powered by a molex instead of the PCI slot. Internally, it’s still limited to 4GB of DDR 400MHz, but the external front panel now has a battery level check and activity LEDs to make it easier to check your data is still powered, and therefore safe.

Bah, se ainda fosse a nova ver. com 300MB/s e 8GB DDR2...

Com os discos SSD isto tem os dias contados, nem sei para k se deram ao trabalho...

os discos SSD ficam muito mais baratos... e não perdem muito na performance, derivado das limitações do interface.
