We have received many messages (like the one above) coming from people a bit concerned about the progress of the project.
We have indeed deliberately decided not to communicate too much about it and hope that those who have shown their interest will accept our apologies.

The first reason is that we wanted to communicate about facts and figures rather than promises. The availability date and the final price could have been disclosed only once all necessary tests and fine-tunings had been performed.

The second reason is that we managed a good exposure for our website due to the viral effect. By providing a limited amount of information, the “community” shared the ownership and contributed to the fullness of the message by multiple postings about Linutop (http://www.google.fr/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-27,GGGL:fr&q=linutop).

Finally, the last reason is that we wanted to avoid an overwhelming situation over which we could not have control.

O preço é que esta ligeiramente puxado, a meu ver. Mas não deixa de ser interessante :)

Se não fosse tão teso, era gajo para comprar um. Para ter em casa, para acesso à net e coisas simples é fantástico (ex: crianças)

O preço é tb a meu ver uma grande condicionante :( (e +256mb ram era uma mais valia).
mas está muito interessante sim sr, isto para uso diario/escritório/p2p (:p) é excelente :D

É que tenho um amigo meu que está interessado em arranjar uns quantos pares destes computadores para o departamento de investigação lá da faculdade.
