The Inquirer takes a 'close look' at an AMD 4x4 system

The Inquirer got a first hand look at a 4x4 system, took pictures, and was very impressed. The first thing they noticed was the sheer amount of things the 4x4 system could do at once.
The system was playing two "City of Heroes" games at once, looping two high definition movies, and encoding another high definition movie.
The Inquirer also found out some very intersting technical aspects of 4x4 technology. 4x4 computers will feature dual northbridges, and should have a very interesting cooling system to keep all the parts at reasonably cool temperatures.
The system The Inquirer looked at had what looked like dual modified Opteron 22xx's without the need for registered memory, as well as various BIOS tweaks.
The last thing The Inquirer noticed was power usage. Power use is said to be a concern, but shouldn't be too bad when 4x4 systems are paired with multiple graphics cards with gigantic power requirements such as the R600 and G80, along with other high-end components.
